We share material master data between the US and Europe. Let us assume that the material master data is created in metric. Is there a configuarable method of converting these metric weights and measures when I create a sales order (or other document) from our company code in the US.

Use a US sales unit in the Sales Org 1 view of the material in the US sales org.
If you are using a "normal" UoM SAP should be able to do the conversion automatically. If you are using weird and wonderful units of measure you will need to maintain conversions on the material master records.

I am not dealing with linear are weight-based material masters. The base unit of measure on our material master is currently PC (pieces) and that should remain. What I am looking to do is convert the Gross Weight, Net Weight, Volume and Size Dimensions from metric (on the Basic Data) to the US equivalent (pounds, inches, etc.) when these materials are sold and/or delivered from one of our US plants.
