Hello,
We have multiple org units and within that different postion are assigned. When someone asks to assign a positon to a user, we are having hard time figuring out which org unit it belongs since we have multiple org units created.
Can someone tell me if there is a way I can look up this information, which position is assigned to various org units.

You should have a one-to-one relationship. You should not have one position tied to SEVERAL org unit, if you do you have poor HR design and one that may not serve for Position based Security.
Several reports you can run are PPSS with O_TASKS as the eval path
PPOME,
