Question:
I have inadvertantly modified a SAP role without copying it first.
Plus, I have transported the modified role to all of our systems.....
How can I reset the SAP role back to its original state. My boss mentioned that you can copy the role from client 000, but I can't seem to find any instructions on how to do that.
Can anyone give me some ideas?

Are you actually using the SAP standard roles? You can download a role from client 000 through PFCG, and then upload it in your development client. Usually the roles are not generated, so there will be no authorisations for the role.
Alternatively, you can look in the change documents for the role. I think that requires version 4.7 though. Or you can look at the change docs for the profile. That should tell you what was changed

Thanks. I will take another look at it in PFCG. I saw the change docs, I just thought it would be easier to 'restore' to original from another client if it was possible. We do NOT use standard roles, we make a copy of them and then modify, however in this case, I forgot to copy first and had altered the role before I realized what I did. We just want to keep the SAP roles pure for whatever reason that is.....
