Just stumbled on the license_attributes transaction. Seems like the idea is to assign roles to a license type and then determine users license type from what roles they have. Is that correct? How do you then classify the users automatically?

That is the intent of the process. the USMM then evaluates the users and the roles attached and determined the liscense type that way. if may not populate the actual field in SU01 but uses the role instead so as access changes the liscense type is "updated" by virtue of the user's access. Far less work as it is one to many rather than each user.

This is a really good idea! Unfortunately I can't get it to work I categorized all my roles as Type 54, and tried doing a system measurement via USMM. My user was still picked up as a type 52
Is there some trick to this?
