I have migrated some report trees from SAP 4.0B into SAP 4.7 (accessible via transaction SARP), anyone who knows if it is possible to maintain and work with report trees in 4.7? I can't find this functionality in the SAP IMG.

Report trees do not exist any longer in 4.7, they are converted to area menus.

as I suspected. But is it possible to convert a report tree from SAP 4.0B into an area menu in SAP 4.7? I have tried but without success... to make this manually will take me very long time,

You can use i believe transaction called RTTREE_MIGRATION and this will automatically convert your report tree into area menu. I have used it before and it works really well. Try doing a search for a OSS notes and I believe this information is also within the SAP help portal. there is a pretty good setp by step procedure and if i got the tcode wrong you will be able to find the correct one.
