Does anyone know if it is possible to limit a user to access only specific fields within a transaction
We would like our customer service team to be able to access only the sales text field within transaction XD02 (Change Customer).

Field level control is available on Vendor and customer master records. you have to configure it in SPRO. You assign the fields you want in display by placing them in a filed group and then not giving access to them. Fo those youwant to give access they get F_KNA1_AEN or F_LFA1_AEN.

We need a few other users in PDM department who maintain customer master data to be able to edit the rest of the fields.

Yes, that is how it works., once you assign the fields to a roup if you are not authorized they are in view if you are authorized they are in change.
