Do you know which objects are checked when a user logs on via a web url , the users can get in when going via the gui but not via a web url.

Might be S_RFC, but I suggest you run a trace (ST01) to see what authorisation checks the user fail.

You may also need to look at Sm21 to see the failure but it is more then likely S_RFC needed.

Maybe you have activated system functions in addition to rfc for control?
I tried it, but had to look very hard for an object or keys with which to control it.
Even although the user has the authorizations in the test, they still could not perform the function.
Our interim solution is also not very elegant, but it works for the moment to get us by until SAP answers...
