Question:
Hey,
can anybody help me with this:
I want to look if the customising between DEV, QAS and PRD are the same.
The reason: we work with a lot of external consultants. We have a procedure that everything has to be changed in DEV and then be transported.
I have a feeling that they change a lot of things in the PRD environment. But I don't have real prove...
How can I easely see what the differences are?
Thank you in advance!
Lots of regards!
Denis
Answer:
One thing you should do PDQ is to look at the Roles of the developers in PROD and determine whether they've got the access for customising.
And if they have, take it away right now.
And, for that matter take away anybody's customising access in PROD.
As a basic principle. there should be no customising in PROD.
Best of luck
Answer:
If your Production system settings are correct you cannot customize or configure in Production regardless of the access. This is because the client settings prevent change to true customizing tables and transports are turned off wich inactivates a step in cutomizing and it cannot be completed.
In some cases table that show up in customizing in DEV ad actulally production tables in Production.
