Question:
Hello,
I have had created a role with access to PA20 and ability to Display infotype 0001 and 0105. But during test when you try to look up a user it say no values for this selection and then when you run an SU53 it is asking for infotype 0002 - Personal Data.
Does anyone know what to do in this case, we don't want this role to have access to IT 0002 just the access for Org Assignment and Communication.
Please help!
Thanks in advance
Answer:
I beleive you will need 0000, 0001 and 0105. You will have numerious IT failure some mean something others do not. The last failure is displayed.
Answer:
Hello,
I updated the authorization and provided access to IT 0000 and all sub types and then i tested this again and I am still getting an error when I look up someone "no values for this selection".
I ran the SU53 again and it is looking for it 0002.
Can somone help me further with this.
I appreciate everyones input.
Answer:
When are you getting the error?
When you enter th ePersonnel number or when you type in 0105 Subtype 0001 at the bottom of the screen?
Answer:
The reason for asking is this error message is the one you get when no record exist to view, PA20 is view. Make sure the record exists for the time period you specify. USe PA 30 to create one, 0002 has nothing to do with the problem.
Answer:
When I got to PA20 and then when i try to look up a employee via F4 and put a * it tell me there is no values for this selection. Then after that when i run SU53 it tells me i am missing infotype 0002.
any ideas.
Thanks for the help.
Answer:
Okay here is more detials of the problem.
I Created role with PA20 and display access to 0001 and 0105. When i log on and try to look up personnel number but doing a F4 and then putting in * for the last name i get a meesage on the left bottom screen it's a green cricle with the white check mark in it and the following message "No values for this selection". When i run su53 it is asking for 0002.
If i know the personnel number and put that in I am able to display
the person for 0001 and 0105. I just can't see to do a search funtion.
please help
Answer:
0002 stores Personal Details.
It may that you have HR configure to store the person's name there (we do). If you do not have access to 0002, then when you run F4 then you cannot see the name for the record you are searching, hence "no values", the data's there you just can't see it.
In our system everyone has access to view 0002, all we store there is the person's name and 'known as' name. What is the point of pulling up an HR record if you can't see who it belongs too?

Answer:
With your problem fully stated, your answer is in the SU53...
Your problem is viewing the match codes NOT THE DATA. In the SU53 the AUthorization level that is failing is 'M' not 'R', Test your access by entering a number NOT an asterisk and NO F4.
You will need two authorizations on the user, one with 0105, 0000, and 0001 with auth level 'R' and one authorization with IT 0002 Auth level 'M'.
Part of the reason NOt to give 0002 I I beleive this is where the Social Security data is, which is usually sensitive and Security has no business viewing.
Answer:
Hi John
We don't have Social Security numbers in NZ and only store the 'first name/last name' and 'known as name' in 0002, so I guess we are not affected by the issues you see. Our HR people made the decsion to store our data that way, so we need to live with it.
It's always interesting to see what other places do and the impact of those actions because it can be helpful for wehn we make any future changes.
