Hello,
we have userwise transaction code list in excel format , hence we want to create role from file by using option import from file in PFCG tocde but when we select excel file and click on open it gives message: the file does not contain any valid data.
what could be the problem? pls. guide us.

the file upload fo the menu requires a VERY specific format that can be found in an OSS note. As I recall to is TOO involved to be of any use and you would be farther ahead by opening the "add tcode" buttom on the menu and cut and paste the list ( in blocks) into the screen in PFCG.
THe file upload is not for a list of tcode but the menu layout, including the codes for the folder, subfolders, titles tcode in the folders etc.

Is there a composite note on Su24 corrections over time, or how reliable is the new search function in OSS via 'SU24' to get an idea for anything we may have missed?

The OSS note is 389675 - PFCG File Format for Uploading Menus to User Roles and John is right - the necessary format is prohibitive if you want to do this manually. I believe it was only created to facilitate downloads from one instance and uploads into another.
