Question:
When I try on to the portal using http://189.11.23.1:50000. I get this
message: “Dispatcher running. Server not Connected”
Later When I want to start the J2ee Administration tool and use
the “Default” option to connect. I am getting the error message “Unable
to lookup connection default http://189.11.23.1:8101/msgserver/text logon
returned empty list of connection parameters”
When I create a new “Direct connection to a dispatcher node” I get the
screen for entering the password, when I enter the password and port
the application return this message “Unable to logon to
localhost “ “connection lost”
I am using the follow parameters:
User: j2ee_admin
Port: 50004
Transport layer: default
When I look the j2ee engine across of sap netweaver developer the instance j2ee have yellow colors, because the server0 is not running

Answer:
server0 not started will cause your error messages above although I would expect a little more from the message server I guess if the message server has nothing to give then you will get nothing.
You need to identify the cause of the startup failure. Have a look in the Work directory at dev_server0, std_server0.out and dev_jcontrol
This will be the starting point, there is a note out there at the mopment about when you make changes to RZ10 you loose some Java params.
