Hi,
I want HR tx PA30 & PA40 in Lock mode while entering data in specific user level. I already set user parameter like wlc(work flow) but PA30 is working fine in certain area not fully and PA40 is not working. Could u pls guide me how to do only enter data in lock mode with save option.

Locked records are forced by configuration the configuration of the Infotype ant the hiring ation definitionss in HR. IF you are successful in configuration you can run a ST01 authorization trace on the tcode to see what is needed to control.
THe wrting of locked records are controlled with AUTH LEVEL 'S' without the user havint eh 'W'. you also need to ensure P_ORGIN is turned on, which it sounds like it is if PA30 is working.
Howvers since PA40 is the hiing actions SAP's take on this is the person using PA40 is AUTHORIZED to hire the person or you would not be using PA40 and there is no reason to lock the records and therefore the code will not check for it.
Since Hiring is a separate function from changing a record if you have issues of records created by a changer ( user of PA30) then you have a segregation of duty and you need to separete the hiring function from the personnel maintenance.
