ask Basis to do it!
you use RZ10 but if you don't know that already your basis team should do it as profile params are usually their domain

Answer:
Setting the parameter will not allow you to "perfomr an Audit" it turns the audit system on. Until it is turned on SAP does NOT collect data in the audid system. Simply setting rsau/enable to 1 will not be enough to get SAP to start the audit as there are several othe parameters needed as well.
The Changes to the parameters appears to be self explanitory in RZ10 but it is best to have someone show you or what you think you have done may not be active and the settign does no good.
Answer:
Hi
If u want to change any SAP profile parameter then
goto RZ10(Profile Maintenance)
Then in the initial screen select a profile from the Help provided by clocking the clock icon beside the textbox.
It will show up three kinds of profiles (Startup, instance and default)
According to me u should select the instance profile and its name will be in the
format SID_DVEBMGS Systemid _ hostname
(example : QTY_DVEBMGS05_MOLQTY)
Then select the radio button Extended maintenace and click on Change.
Then in the screen displayed see if u can get the required parameter.
If u get it change its value to whatever u like.
But if u dont get it in the list then click on the
create parameter button (page icon).
Then in the screen displayed type the parameter and its value.
Then save it by clicking on Copy.
Then save the profile by clicking on save(Floppy icon)
Then generate another version of profile and run the sync. check (it will be automatically done when u try to generate a new version)
Now this will set ur parameter but to reflect its changed value u will have to restart the SAP system.
Drop any further questions if u dont understand
