Question:
We are in 46c and use Roles to restrict users' access to Cost Centers.
It has been found out that using RANGES (eg from cost center 1100 to 1199) in the definition of the authorization object is no longer ideal (as a result of the cost center design/structure).
One key user suggested of using Cost Center category as the authorization object eg user can only access cost centers Category 'A' (assigned in the master record). In this way, role maintenance is easier.
Is there a way to do it? Or any other suggestions?

SAP does not provide a Cost Center Category authorization object.
o can contorl on Cost Center hierarchy node as opposed to listing CC, however this is only possible in the authorization Objects that have Responsibility area.
