I would like to know full details regarding the indirect user assignment
(i.e a role assignment to user's position)

Try SAP's Authorizations made Easy. THere also may be documentation in SE38 for report RHPROFL0. YOu can do a sech on this forum to get pobably as much as you would in the other resources
