There seems to be no standard MSS role delivered with SAP. So in creating a role for MSS users I need to assign 'complete' authorization for employee group / subgroup and personnel area for mss to work. Or so it seems from the testing done. This however means that as soon as a user logs on to SAP itself I cannot retrict them to view only certain personnel areas in PA20 as they need an * for MSS.
Is there any way around this problem?

Authorization object P_ABAP. Your MSS reports should control on this. You can then give all access to HR in a report and restrict specific records in SAP R/3

Thank you for the reply. I am specifically referring to the 'Team Calendar' functionality in MSS. Do you know what is the best way to find out what the report is that runs in the background for this iView?
