Incomplete access in Substitution

Question: Hi All,

In Workflow Substitution I created a role in which a certain user has an access to SBWP. During substitution creation a message appears that a relationship has been created meaning a person responsible for substitution is successfully created.

In a SAP_ALL user role/profile, the said relationship (e.g. user and its corresponding substitute) is visible to the user however for my newly created role/profile its not.

What object do I need to add in his role/profile inorder that the user have fully access in substitution activation..

Thanks for the help..

Answer:
I am not sure I understand your question. If you are thinking that the substitute inherits the authority of the principal then that is a mistaken assumption. The substitute only gets to see work items in the inbox that were intended for the principal. They have to have their own authority to process them.

hi bwsecurity,

thank you for your reply it enlightens me.. my other question is what particular objects we need into an authorization profile to give user an access to create a substitution..

thanks again..

Answer:
If your SAP_ALL user can carry out the actions effectively, then trace them doing the action and it should show you what auth objects are checked.
