Hi guys!!
We are currently involved in an excersise to rationalize our authorizations and profiles by using activity groups. However, Once i wildrew the sap_new lots of users have problesm with authorizsations. When they run SU53 it yields nothing so I cannot tell what they are missing. How can I overcome this and find out what SAP_NEW was giving them that they don't have now!!

I don't this problem (su53 allways shows something....) but you could try ST01 to trace the auths - maybe it works better?
To see wat SAP_New gives to the users: Copy a user, delete sap_new from the copy and then compare the user and the copy... (this should only make sense if some profiles were created after your oldest used sap_new....)

if su53 yields nothing if run after every single instance of an authorisation failure message, when the user runs it themselves, for every user in your system, you have a serious system problem. are you trying to run it for them? they have to have run it first, for you to be able to pick it up using other user
