LSMW Authorisations

Question: Is it possible to control access in LSMW to a specific Project, or ideally to a specific object in a project.

We want to allow access to certain projects outside of our SAP team, but an auth trace seems to check little more than the Transaction code and activity

If any authorisation gurus could tell me the settings to control to either a project or object, and whether these need creating/activating to be checked, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Answer:
There is an authorization check for LSMW projects. Are you saying it doesn't work? You should create a project and then see if someone who doesn't have access to the project can access it. If they can in spite of the authorization open an OSS note. I am quite confident that the project is checked but I am working out of my swiss-cheese brain.

Make sure that when you trace anything you trace it completely.

Answer:
There is Auth Obj B_LSMW_PRO, but this seems to get checked at very odd / limited times.

I was able to import, edit and run a project without a problem, but got an auth fail against this project object when I tried to export it, or when I clicked on the log button.....not to useful if you want to control who can run/edit a project.

If you can extend this object to these functions then great?
