Does anyone know a good way to delete a large quantity of roles from a 4.5b system. We have about a 100 unused roles that need to be deleted from our system. Will a Catt script work?

CATT will work so will a copy of the SAP delivered Mass delete role program with the "check system type" check removed. To delete the roles from DEv, QAS, and PRD enter the roles in a transport ( use the mass transport option in PFCG) and then delete the roles, then release the transport and import. Since the records do not exist at the time of the export SAP changes a flag in the transport record to make it a delete record. When imported SAP deletes the records in the target client.

Go to PFCG->utilities->Mass transport->Download all the roles ->Hit the dustbin icon->TouchDown!

There is no 'dustbin" to click Take a look in yours and see if you get the dustbin option when using the mass transport option.
