Password Expiration

Question: In our Environment LOGIN/PASSWORD_EXPIRATION_TIME Parameter set as 90 days, because of this all our users should change there passwords for every 90 days,it is effecting Communication and background users also , Is there any way to exclude these users types on this parameter ,i want to effect it only in Dialog Ids only.

Answer:
This is probably a different parameter. Something like *validity* for an RFC type login and a problem with some SP / Kernel levels for non-dia users.

Use the SYSTEM type user and check OSS.

Answer:
Check your setting on the IDs in SU01 to make sure they are not dialog IDs you are using for batch job and RFC connections in SM59.
The ID nned to be marked, SYSTEM or COMMUNICATION. (CPIC or BATCH in older systems)

Also the default for a batch job is the user who schedules it and if the user did not set it to a batch ID you may be experiencing a problem.. But the system parameter is for DIALOG ids only.
