Hi all,
In our organization we want to restrict sales order creation for particular material type.
when i checked the va01 in su24 it shows that m_mate_mar in check column and when i changing it from check to check n maintain it reflects in pfcg while entering va01 in the profile.
But the problem is that i m not able restrict sales order creation for the values which i have specified in the pfcg.
My problem is that is it possible to change auth object from check to check and maintain, n if not then is there any way to restrict sales order for particular material type.

go to su24 change mode, give transport request number if it asks for and click on CM to change it from C to CM , and in pfcg . select edit and merge option to get the changes effected

I have applied all the changes you mentioned still, i m not able to restrict creation of sales order for the specific order type.
We have already assigned Authorization group for all the Material type
but still we are not able to restrict creation of sales order for the
specific material type.
We are using transaction su24, in which M_MATE_MAR is marked as check.
what we doing is, we are changing M_MATE_MAR from check to check and
maintain.And while designing the role, we use expert mode for profile
generation in which we select " Read old status and merge with new data"
then we get M_MATE_MAR object marked as new along with all standard ones
Then we give the value of Material type for which we want to give autho-
risation, Still we are not restrict creation of sales order for the
specific Material type.Is any thing missing, Please guide.
We dont want to use field exit, as we have so many Tcode in which we
want to change authorisation oject from check to check and maintain.
Is it possible add manually created authorizaiton object in standard
Tcode?

Have you run a trace to see if the check is in the code? If not, it won't make any difference

Yes I have already run the trace..
Now it is confired that you can not change any object from check to check and maintain in su24.
Even if it allows you to do so, you will not be able to restrict.
So pls dont waste any time for increasing Authority check using su24.

the check needs to be in the code. if it not there, changing SU24 will not do anything
