I am an ABAPer with over 5 years of exp worked on FI & HR extensively. My current assignment is an HR & FI assignment where we are going for ESS.Here is what I wanted to know. From a technical stand point.
What do I have to KNOW to provide tech support for ESS & where do I start with. Kindly give me a detailed overview. All help/suggestions/advice will be greatly appreciated.

The only technical stuff you have to know is handling publishing of ITS templates using webstudio and a bit of ITS administration (like what is a service, template, themes etc). R/3 online help provides a simple efficient introduction on all these

I am stuck up in ESS.
My problem is the ESS pages are not working properly
The scenario is as follows, i think you wud be able to simulate it
The pages on ITS server are published.
When i login thru IE using essuser login id followed by click 20000081-Create Leave Request under Time Management -> first screen named "Start form processing" is opened, which has two input boxes and one push button named Continue.
First query: what this screen is basically
Now when i click Continue, Actual screen appears now,
The problem at this screen is the existing entitlement and other details are not appearing on the screen and also the buttons are not working properly.

What additional settings do we need to do on ITS server,
Now for initiating the work flow, as per my opinion, we need to activate the template only by SWDD ->Go to basic data ->activate the method Created of object type FORMABSENC
Ur help is vital to me
Please suggest me how to proceed
