Expert Mode (Read old, merge with new)
Anyone have any experience with this issue.
We have objects in roles that are listed as Maintained, but they were Manually inserted (certain of this), and when the role is updated using "Read old status, merge with new data), these objects disappear.
Anyone have any ideas as to how these objects have this designation "Maintained" despite being manually inserted?

Check the OSS notes for the current patch your system is on . there is a set of patches that do GREAT damage to you roles if you change them while at these patch levels. As I recall your sysmtom is one of them. I will try to recall the other anomolies and the pathc numbers, but you should move as quickly as possible to the higher patch levels.
