Question:
Hi All,
I am trying to remove SM59 from a role.
There is no SM59 in the menu, but when I go to the authorizations screen I can see SM59 in S_TCODE.
I double click on S_TCODE and all values are grayed out because it is a “standard” authorization.
As a result, I can’t delete it.
We are on R/3 Enterprise
Any advice is appreciated.
Igor.
Answer:
Remove the value 'NADM' from S_ADMI_FCD first, save, and then try deleting the sm49 tcode.
Answer:
Jo,
I checked: S_ADMI_FCD is completly deactivated and S_TCODE is still greyed out.
Answer:
Check to make sure the tcode is not in the menu by performing a search, in complex menus they can eb easily hidden. Next, under the authorization , ensure all the options are turned on and use the OVERVIEW icon on object S_TCODE to see if another tcode is brining in the S_TCODE , SAP will allow you to configure SU24 to bring in S_TCODE so you do not have to enter them directly in the menu and there is functionality in SAP that you hvae to have S_TCODE value SM59 to execute though you are not running SM59 directly.
If that does not wild your answer, Inactivate ALL the tcode, delete, save and then re-enter the authorizations using the Expert mode, option Read old mege new

John,
It was exactly it! One of other transactions was bringing SM59.
Thank you very much!!!

this is done through the information system. This will display the roles which have this tcode. Alternately, i try to search in the menu tab of profile generator but did not find anything relevant.
Next, under the authorization , ensure all the options are turned on and use the OVERVIEW icon on object S_TCODE to see if another tcode is brining in the S_TCODE
i am not sure where u did this. either su24, pfcg , i am not able to find it
SAP will allow you to configure SU24 to bring in S_TCODE so you do not have to enter them directly in the menu and there is functionality in SAP that you hvae to have S_TCODE value SM59 to execute though you are not running SM59 directly.
from the above, u are saying that other authorization object could haev S_TCODE in them instead of entering s_tcode in the menu tab?
If that does not wild your answer, Inactivate ALL the tcode, delete, save and then re-enter the authorizations using the Expert mode, option Read old mege new
the above is beacuse, there could be duplicated authorizations here and there, and using a read old merge new, is to have a clean authorization
