I've got a problem with a role in one client. It's quite a big role and just doesn't seem to generate in this one client. When I click on the generate button in PFCG it just keeps processing until my session times out.
When I run it in background it runs for a few days and when it eventually finishes the actual authorisation traffic light is still yellow.
The exact same role in different clients runs fine and other roles generate fine in this troubled client, it's just this one role in this one client.
Since it's a big role, generating it in other clients on the same system has a response time of 293.778.
The role has no inactive authorisations.
Checking the process in transaction SM50 reveals that it barrels along doing updates and reads to table UTAB, but then at about the 254 second mark it just gets stuff on a sequential read on table UTAB. The basis guy has done a re-org of this table but it hasn't solved the problem.
Does anyone have any clues or skerricks of hints (or actual step by step solutions) for this Problem El Bizarro?
