Question:
Hi all, our 4.6C system currently has a number or roles that have approximately 1500 transactions directly assigned to them (no folder heirachy).
I have been asked to delete a transaction that is not displayed in the initial menu list (transactions A* > F* are listed, anything below F is not) but they are available to users assigned to that role. It would seem that oversize role menus like this one generate multiple profiles with (role name)_0001 (role name)_0002 etc. but in order to remove the transaction via PFCG it needs to be edited by the menu as S_TCODE object is locked to display only (obviously).
Question is - how to get to the transaction allocation in the menu list to do the necessary deletion before regenerating the role?
Cheers,
Grimster.
Answer:
The menu tab in PFCG only lists a limited amount of tcodes att he bottom of the displayed list in the "More.." (or its equivalent) hierarchy display that you double click on to display the next set of tcodes.
You keep clicking on the "More.." until you find what you are looking fo and delete it from the menu. You should not be deleting it form S_TCODE as it will come back if it is still in the menu and the objects associated will nnnot be removed
