Hi All,
I have deactivated an user password and now i couldnt reactivate that users password field. when iam trying to log on with that user id with out entering password its saying "enter all marked fields" and when i tried to logon with password its saying " password deactivated ". So iam unable to logon with that user id.
Can any one suggest me the way i can reactivate that particular user's password field.

What is the value in usr02-codvn after resetting it?
SAP made an error a while back in the surface function for resetting the pw by leaving the codvn unchanged or not forcing B after being deactivated (can't remember exactly though).
If it is still 'X', try to force it to B with new pw in BAPI_USER_CHANGE.

We hit exactly the same problem recently - {if you are in 46C } there is a SAP Note for this problem. SAP Note No. 735356 Initially the note looks like it's just about special characters, but SAP are justifying the bug by stating that it has something to do with this. A bit lower down the exact problem you describe is mentioned:
"If the password was deactivated during the first logon or by the administrator in SU01, it cannot be activated again, so no initial
password can be assigned."
