Hi all
I have this issue, where i need to restrict the Tcode ME55 (Collective Release of Purchase Reqs.) by the Cost Centers,
The Tcode does not Check maintain (in SU24 ) any of the object which aids in restricting it by Cost Center.
The two methods i would think of is to add some object contolling the Cost Center in SU24 and hit the SOurce code, (which i think is not suggestable)
the other is the Users - Exit.( which i am not sure of)
Can anybody suggest any othey way to control ME55 with COst Center.

ME55 - authorisations are with purchase groups & release codes.
ME55 - configuration is with material groups. The configuration says what release procedure to go through.
There's nothing to control cost centers in standard SAP, so you may need to look at a user exit if you really want to go down the cost center route.
I think it may be a nightmare. Remember - it's only a purchase req.

Because a requisition posts planning data to cost centers you can use a cost center validation. However you need to have a reall good way of associating users with cost centers else you will have a million authorizations. Hopefully John Jarboe will be along to convince you that it isn't a good idea.

Well the two solutions i thought of and think are not feasible is the Users Exit and the Programming , looks like there is no better solution for them.
