has anyone tried to take the certification without attending the sap training courses? there seems to be a lot of information, installation guides and downloadable software on sap marketplace so it seems a bit of a waste to spend silly money on five days of coffee and biscuits at sap.
having said all that does anyone have the course notes or an idea of the questions likely to be asked?? no harm in being prepared!!

Most of the test questions are asked from the course notes. Let me see whether I have the course soft copy (for sure I have hardcopy).

i am certified in SAP Portals and i also attended the training.
the training was kind of useful to learn stuff but definitely useful for the certification exam.
there were questions in the exam that were quite obscure and only learnt through the classroom training...
