Hardware Key

Question: i have just transferred the SAP database to a standalone unit. I still have the old hardware key and registration key. However, when i tried to put them into the command lines, it does not work. The new standalone unit has a new hardware key. is there anyway i can change the hardware key and use the old one and the old registration key without having to go through the hassle of getting a new one???? or is there any other way to fix this problem. Please help.

Answer:
SAP designed it so that you would require their assitance. When you install it on a new system you get a new hardware key generated. That is why they call it a hardware key. New hardware.. new key.. get it? Pretty niffty eh.? Type saplicense -get from the command line and get your hardware key for that system. Send it to SAP to get a new license key for that system.
If you need more time you can type saplicense -temp for another 30 days.
