I am currently in ver 4.6c and the passwords are not case sensitive. Could anyone advise if there has been change from ver 4.7 onwards ? ie would it matter if I entered my user password in a upper case or lower case in ver 4.7 onwards.

Thanks Frank!
I can only wonder what the quality of the hash is considering that the collision rate might have increased at a 5:40 ratio, and how rsusr003 is going to deal with the topic now?
One can now also specify any n characters being NE to the previous one(s). The password must either have multiple truncated representations for parts of itself in the hash..., or there is a routine to revert the hash and compare it, or.. nahh!! couldn´t be?
Perhaps Zerlinde might also like to have a 1 on 1 with the SAP developers about their hardcoding.
What I dont understand is the joke about the "_" and "o" password? Any help is appreciated.
