I want to restrict standard report in FI-AA (for example-S_ALR_87011966) by cost center --- like User1 is only allowed to display assets assigned to cost center 1000-1999. Pls. suggest on how to achieve this. Thanks!
Answer:
You need to first ask WHY? What possible loss to the company could this pose? what is to cost to control? and come to the conclusion you may be pensing $100,000 to protect $10 and move on to more substanative controls.
That said, you would have to find a user exit with the avaialble info present to add an authorization check and respond to the return code properly to contol this, IF the exit exists. Tcode SMOD is a place to start looking.
