Is there an auth object that can be used to prevent someone from being able to change a material characteristic?
Here's the scenario:
Access transaction MM02.
Enter material number
Select Views
Classification <Enter>
We have a material characteristic that we'd like our users to not be able to modify.
Anyone know if this is possible?

Hi Guress I can't see "Classification" as an option to select within select views on our 47 system. I guess it's a config choice which ones appear? Can you tell me which table a Material with a classification is saved to? then I can see if we have any here, to look for an object....

Thanks, Minsh. Table KSSK contains the Internal Class Number as well as the material it's saved to. You can get the Internal Class Number by viewing table KLAH and locating the Class that was created.
