Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone from the security side knows the check for authroization object which needs to be assigned for digital signature for results recording & usage decision. I am trying to create a new profile of an inspector who will put his user ID & P/w in the pop up for digital signature even while I am logged on to SAP. Did anyone run into this? We tried with C_SIGN_BGR Authorization group for digital signatures but that does not seem to work.

You can assign the authorization for the digital signature in the authorization object C_AENR_BGR (change master record - authorization group), activity 73 (Making a digital signature).

Thanks for your reply Sailesh--we had tried that too but it is still giving the same error message--not authorized...SU53 does not bring up anything as we are not logged on as inspector (we are only entering the User ID & p/w in the pop up window). Also when we ran a trace we drew a blank--wonder what else we are missing....

Authorization for Digital Signatures C_SIGN
Sometimes problems occurs if you haven't correct authorization on Q_UD_CODE - Using Usage Decision Codes. It these cases pop-up window for username and password appear but you coudn't digitaly sign.
You should also check all Q_* objects related with QA11 transaction to be shure that you have correct authorization on all fields.
I have similar case when some users suddenly lost authorization for digital signature, but they had it before, after we've changed plant number.

In my case we are getting the error in QE51N itself (results recording)--I will check out the checks for all authorization objects assciated for this transaction..
