Hi Experts,
One of the requirement regarding authorization is, user has to go to VA03 and should be allowed only to see the document flow for the sales document from the initial screen of the VA03 but should not be allowed to enter into the sales order. Any advices on how to set this authorization.

I don't think it is possible to restrict users to the document flow Icon only, because when you give a user the access required to use that Icon, they can go a bit further. They cannot do everything but can see more than it sounds like you want.

Check to see if the ICON performs a CALL TRANSACTION, if it does you can then limit access by configuring the VA03 to Check for S_TCODE on the call transaction (4.6+). this is done in tcode SE97.

I should have refered to the button you push or activity you perform you do to get from VA03 to the sales order. And ST01 trace willt ell you it ther eis a call tranasction or you can debug, There is no ICON in SE97.

Further Se97 should indicate if the sales order transactionis called from VA03 by looking at the data in SE97
