Question:
I tried to create a role and authorizations in BW. I did the following steps.
In PFCG,
1. I crated a role.
2. In menu tab I added RRMX as the transaction code.
3. In authorizations tab, select the authorizations and i choose the autjorization object S_RS_COMP.
4. Then in that screen I selected "manually" and I selected entired in activiities, Query ID, Info cube name, etc.
5. Finally, when the entires in authorization are either yelloe orgreen, I generated the profile and profile has been generated successfully.
In SU01, I created a new user and assigned this role.
When I logged in as the user that created, I do see the user menu " start business analyzer". When I double click " Start business analyzer" , it says " you dont have authorization for RRMX.
Then ai removed this role from the user account and attached the standard role SAP_BW_developer. Even then, I am getting the same error.
Do I miss any step here?

Hey, I think we may have talked about this a little bit outside of this forum, if you are still having problems drop me an email (It's Robert).
You'll probably need more authorizations in the log run to run your query, but you should be able to at least get BEX to pop-up with RRMX alone. After assigning the role to the user did go perform a user compare on the role? (PFCG --> users tab --> user compare)
When in doubt, you can always turn on a trace in ST01 on authorization checks and see what you get.

I am not that strong in BW authorizations to say the least, but have you checked this:
1. That the SAPGUI has actually installed business explorer?
2. That SAP_BW_DEVELOPER is actually compared? This should at least provide access to RRMX, but you do not want to assign the standard role. Copy it into your own namespace. Maintain and generate it.

If you have added S_RS_COMP manually then you must add S_RS_COMP1 and S_RS_ICUBE too. Define the values for those Objects and It will run smoothly.
