Generating Role !

Question: We have created Roles for users, each user is attached to a role, often users ask for addition of new transactions to the roles, as a result the role is frequently generated. Is it ok , what negative impact does it have on the system.
Please suggest.

Answer:
If the role is frequently generated you may want to reorganise the authorisations (it's under one of the menu options when you are in auth maintenance screen).

Answer:
Normally Roles are developed in Dev environment and moved to Production. Every organization follows different schedule for transporting roles to production which normally happens when minimal users are accessing system. This process will avoid any impact authorization impact on users. Also you can schedule PFCG_Time_Dependency to reconciliation.

The impact of frequent generation of roles depends on users assigned and normally in Dev environment Production End User roles are not assigned to users.

Hope this Helps!

Sorry for not being constructive, but joined 21st october 2002 and having one post? This is a very impressive track record. Especially when Snowy joined the exact same date and (at this particular time) is missing just one post to make his post number 19600. I smell a conspiracy here

Besides that, I get a little worried about you writing that users ask for additional access. Hopefully transactions are not just added because of some user saying that he need the access.

for you info, SAPFANS lost its whole databae in september 2002 and it was rebuild from scratch on october 20th 2002.

But I indeed find impressive that someone registers to only post in it 44 months later!
