Program changes directly in production

Question: Hi,

Is there a report to see if,

1) A user has done direct program changes in production

2) A user has performed direct configuration changes in production

Regards,
Shantanu

Answer:
1. THere may be a report but you can look in table TRDIR and look at the last changed date. If it was changed you can look in SE03 and look for recent transport created in production. The user may delete the entries in the transport or the transport if they are that sophisticated. BUT unless the user has access to table T000 or the tcodes used to change the production setting the code cannot be updated through normal settings if the system seetting is set to production and no changes allowed, same holds true for configuration, through normal SAP channels.

If table logging is not turned on then you cannot capture all the configuration changes. If normal SAP functionality was used then some of the config have last changed data on the record. he table compare utilities will highlight changes from developemtn tcode SCMP.
