I have a custom Tcode Z_Prg in test and production system.. I have added this code in one role in test system, when try to execute this tcode it says "tcode Z_Prg does not exist, where as in production i can able to run same tcode... Please expalin why this is happening...Thanks very much for the response....

there are several options:
1st TRX really does not exist in the system: to test typo t_code in command box and or search for T_Code in table TSTC.
2nd if teh TRX does exist an error in your role, try adding it from the picklist not typing it in!

1. I checked that the tcode does exist. I am able to run same tcode on production...where as i am not able to run on test machine. It says same thing "Tcode does not exist"

if you can not select it from the pick list it is not really there.
try trx se93 and see if you can find it.
secondly check the system were it was build and try to find the transport it was in. did that transport go to the test system?

The tcode in production machine is independent and does not have in any role. I tired to search tcode inside the roles using SUIM, i could not find any role having this transaction. But when enter same tcode at command line and press execute it runs... I tried same through Se16 also, but all in vain... Please advise...

and is the trx visible in SE93 in the test client?

Hi - have I got this right? The transaction is in PROD and not in the TEST system AND it isn't in a role?
SUIM wouldn't find it in a role and SE16 AGR_TCODES/AGR_1251 wouldn't either. If it started life in DEV then SE03 might help find the transport it was in and where it went...maybe the ABAPer who wrote the code might help? Try SE93 and display the programme - see who is the author and ask them about it if they are still available. It needs to be in a role really as using SAP_ALL isn't fair
