Need some explanation.
One of my role contains more than one time the object G_GLTP.
This is the list:
G_GLTP no1
Activity 2, 3
Ledger *
Record Type *
Version *
G_GLTP no2
Activity 3
Ledger 8A
Record Type 0, 1, 2, 3
Version *
G_GLTP no3
Activity 3
Ledger 3A, 8A, 8C, 8Z
Record Type *
Version *
G_GLTP no4
Activity 3
Ledger *
Record Type 0, 1
Version *
I was expecting them to merge because the first one got activity 02,03 and all other feild are a *.
Could someone explain me why they are not merging ?

Answer:
Working as designed...
While you understand the meaning of '*' the merge logic does not. It errors on the side of not giving away too much access. If you want them tomerge then either change the SU24 cnfiguration so you add the '*' . It is not recommended to configure SU24 with '*'.
