i get this field status red and have to maintain the field value after upgrading to 4.7 under auth. object personnel planning. maintaining the field pop's this message
The individual maintenance of an organizational level field in the
dialog box Maintain Field Values has the following consequences for this
field in this authorization:
o Maintaining values in the dialog box Define Organization Levels no
longer changes the value.
o The authorization value is overwritten when derived roles are
modified.
The new status of the organization level field in this authorization can
be reset by deleting the field content using the delete icon next to the
field name.
Do you want to maintain the organization level field individually?
This is a new field added after the upgrade.

Working as designed,
SAP is warning you that there are some feilds that in prior versions where not org levels, but now are and maintained centrally in the org management table. you can either ignore the org level if the authorization in the role have different values for different auth objects or accept it and you maintain the field centrally.
You can turn OFF the org level with an SAP report something like PRGN_DELETE_ORG_LEVEL (sp?). You can also create others with the "reverse" report.
