BW HR Authorisation strategy

Question: I am currently implementing BW security for our HR business. They have requested that we secure the data by organisational units within a hierarchy. for example different managers can see information for headcount in their org unit and any org unit below their node in the hierarchy. Can anyone help me with the best way to do this. I have been on the security course and know that you can secure by hierarchy or use something called structural authorisations for HR. Before I strart on this can anyone tell me
1) What exactly 'Structural authorisations' does and how do you implement this (this was not covered on our course)
2) If I where to secure the hierarchy nodes by using RSSM and creating a authorisation object for InfoObject 0ORGUNIT do I still need to include a variable in my query?
3) What happens in both the above should the hierarchy change as it does frequently? Is this alot of maintenance going forward from a security point of view, as I have to provide the HR manager with an idea of how much time i will need to spend on maintenance post implementation.

if anyone has any other thoughts or ideas on the above I would much appreciate it. I have been doing R/3 Security for ages but BW is new to me!

thanks

Answer:
Hi:
It seems you will have alot on your plate.

first, go to garry morris website to get a documentation
on step by step setting up of structural authorisations.

second, go the sap developer network website
WWW.SDN.SAP.COM (then under BW section and click on
How to option) where you will find a document
on how to "Implement BW in HR authorisation"

The above two documents will give you good start.
