Authorisation only for Specific Profit Centres !

Question: Dear SAP Experts,

I am in the process of creating test user for various plant location. Each location is identified with a Profit Centre also. I want to restrict the FI transactions by user for a specific profit centre only.

But the problem is the Profit Centre Object K_PCA is not coming in Organisational elements. Thats why I have added it in individual roles.
There I have specified the profit centre value only for one location.

But the concerned user is able to post to all profit centres, irrespective of restriction specified as above.

What could be the possible reason for this? I have checked the role, and there is not error in it.

So is it something relating to activation of object for a particular transaction???

Please help me out in this. Since the matter is quite urgent!

Thanks & Regards,

Answer:
Working as designed...

FI postings are controlled by FI authorization objects. SAP FI could care less about your Profit center. Since Profit center accounting is used to divide up the dime you just spent THere is no control over where you distibute the costs as long as FI is satisfied.

If you look for User exit (tcode SMOD and CMOD) or Business partner functions (tcode BF03) you might be able to add the cde to check for Profit centr, but it is not recommended.

You are trying to use security to allow the Profit center stewards to abdicate their responsibility, which is to monitor their cost/profits and change what should be changed.
