Position based security

What is the best documentation and help available on transitioning existing R/3 users and roles to position based security in the HR system?

THe things you have to look out for is how HR uses positions and how the move people and promote them.

A position is supose to be static so once set, baring and reorganization, the access should stay static. Some companies move people to new Positions when they promote them in the same job, a nightmare from security perspective.

Most use roles assigned to position but you can also assign then role to Job or organization. Fo Job it require a standard definition of the job throughout the company, rarely the cae. Position usually works the best.
