Question:
How have people set up the licence category for system users (DDIC etc), test users (eg to be able to test Workflow in DEV & QAS) or trainee users in a Training Client (eg train01, train 02 etc). We currently have 3 types of licence registered Cat2, Cat3 & limited ESS users.
Answer:
Most all liscense are based on PRODUCTION machines/client so classifying DEV and QAS is not required.
Answer:
The instructions we've had from SAP UK are to run the audit across everything - not sure if that's just them being ultra-cautious or something more
Answer:
They want "everything" because they charge HUGE prices for unlocked Developer ID as defined in table DEVACCESS which is in Development
Answer:
Hi
It all depends on your licensing agreement.
Ours requires us to measure across all systems but we have codes to use which mean we don't inherit extra costs.
Our normal licence types are 54 for ESS type users and 52 for professional users. All system users (eg DDIC) we are allowed to code as 91 (test). In other clients any users replicated from Prod are classed as type 11 (Multi-client / system) with the reference details speciifed.
This will all be reviewed shortly as we move to include BW and SEM.
