Hope someone can help as I'm not sure this is possible. We are currently piloting new search screens on material/vendor and customer searches. We have removed search screens that aren't used, for example Material by material group etc etc and replaced them with out own in house search screens. We want to restrict some of these search screens to central AP and AR depts and others to general users. Does anyone know if it is possible to restrict what search screens you can view?

Answer:
Never, never ever remove search helps. if you do so, the next upgrade or hot-packages will reward you with an extra-fat and extra-complicated SPAM since this is a (completely useless) MODIFICATION. Why not simply leave them be and let be dormant what you do not need?
Anyway, since the damage is already done ...
search helps do not have extra authorization objects and why should they? how would you put the business-process to words: some users might search for the objects they are expected to work with and the others ... well what the heck? does that sound consistent to you?
