Hi,
I am new to portals and iam having few basic doubts can any one clarify me pls.
if i was able to publish my bw queries in portals uwing query URL why do i need a visual composer for that.
if we are doing some additional development tasks like creating chart or table display in VC can't we do the same in web application designer and use the url in iviews.
if i want to create a web dynpro application of sales order using bapi . can i do the same in ECC using a report and assign this report to a transation and publish this in portals .
can i use VC to publish my BPS layouts in web which i can do using the web interface builder.
i am a bit doubtlful about the practical use of VC and Web dynpro's.
I knew web dynpro is MVC conceprts which reduce the development costs a lot . other than this what is the paractical advantages of these new tools.

You don't. VC is a Rapid Application Development tool for development of User Interfaces. It focus on accessing multiple back-end data and applications through a single interface. You can build what you use today in VC, but it will not get better. But VC can do more.
