Hi,
i have installed ITS on dual host (AGATE/WGATE) and connection to R3 is working fine. Now, i want to start an admin service.
My questions:
- Do i have to install ADM instance on both AGATE and WGATE
- What settings do i have to define for the IE browser in order to hit the admin screen
My string http://217.72.220.98:8084/scripts/wgate/admin/! in the browser brings the log-in screen to connect to R3 instead of Admin screen!!
I am under ITS 6.20/SP14

Answer:
Hi,
i have found it. Do the following:
1. Install the Admin Instance (ADM) it must be named "ADM" and nothing else on the AGATE Host(and nowhere else).
2. The instance must be installed with the radio buttons (Administration, single host), do not do otherwise, if you do anything else, ADM will not be installed. I was about to be fired due to no. 2 !!!
3. Configure the ADM instance to 8080 port (internet information service manager) and basis lib. is in inetpub/wwwroot/ADM. The lib.name must be identical with the instance name
When finished, then start the admin service with the following string in your IE browser on the AGATE host:
http://yourhostip:8080/scripts/wgate/admin/!
8080 is the port no., the log-in screen will appear.
