Question:
Hello,
You guys know how do we export user roles/profiles to a file?
Before the refresh, we want to export it so we can later import it.
Also we need to export the RFC destinations before the system refresh.
Thanks

You can also just download them to your local workstation.
Oh, and I moved this one to the SAP Security forum.

umm, I think there was an error when this post was created.
I'm looking to export profiles to a file and then re-import them to another system simliar to exporting roles via PFCG.
How would I go about doing that?
Any help appreciated.
Nick
Answer:
nic777, if you want to export both users and profile, use profile SAP_USER.
and ... never trust yls177!

Ok, use profile SAP_USER but where do I go to export the profiles and re-import.
I'm looking for something like in PFCG where you can download the roles to a file and then re-import them. I have to avoid transports.
Any idea?
Thanks
Nick
Answer:
The posts are refering to a client copy SCC1 where SAP_USER applies to user data.
PFCG has a pull-down path for Mass download Environment->Bulk download ( report PFCG_MASS_DOWNLOAD). But you should create a transport as the transport will take the profile as well. you can always copy the transport file to a "floppy disk" and import it into any system. The bulk download does not include the profile name or the profile info only the key AGR_xxx tables.
